As Monday ushered in the 20th anniversary of Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone, the first in JK Rowling’s iconic seven-book Harry Potter series, Potterheads rejoiced the world over in glorious celebration of The Boy Who Lived. Joining in, Facebook is marking the occasion with a rather special addition to its interface. So if you’re a Potterhead, Facebook is the place to be right now. Seriously. Clicking on any mention of “Harry Potter” or the names of any of the four houses at Hogwarts – Gryffindor, Ravenclaw, Hufflepuff and Slytherin – will make a magic wand appear at the bottom of your screen and spew smoke clouds and flashing lights all over the page! In addition, the name of each house automatically assumes its designated house colour, Harry’s name showing up in red since he’s a Gryffindor!
So, wave your cursor and click away to unlock all your happiest memories of Potterverse!
