Social Media giant, Instagram is officially launching a new feature to allow users to re-share an Instagram post with their friends. If you are wondering that it is a ‘regram’ option then we are sorry to tell you it is not that. The new feature will allow users to share an Instagram post via Instagram Stories. Instagram was testing this feature earlier this year.
The feature will let users add comments and reactions to the posts they like without repurposing them as their own. There is a catch in the new option. Re-sharing can only be done through public Instagram accounts. But if you want to run a public account without letting people share your posts, you can turn off the new feature in the settings of the application.
Re-sharing the post is very simple. All you have to do is first tap the paper airplane icon, the one you tap to send a post through direct messaging. But now you will see a new option to create a Story also. Tap this option and the post will appear as a sticker with a customized background.
