Shah Rukh Khan recently met with Rajeev Masand to talk about his upcoming release Jab Harry Met Sejal. During the interview, SRK answered internet’s most asked questions about him and his replies will give you a nice chuckle.
Text: While promoting his latest flick Jab Harry Met Sejal, the King of Bollywood broke many myths surrounding himself. During an interview with film critic Rajeev Masand, SRK answered the most googled questions about with his usual wit, sarcasm and even honesty at a few places.

While the hipster crowd may have been excited seeing Shah Rukh Khan sport a tattoo in his upcoming film, but when asked if he had a tattoo in real life, he answered: “I don’t, but I have it in my film Jab Harry Met Sejal – A big one right across my right shoulder and chest. But no, I don’t have a tattoo. I am scared of tattoos.” Who says movie stars aren’t honest.
Often called the richest movie star in the world, one would be surprised if the answer to the next question was a ‘no’. When asked does Shah Rukh Khan own a private jet? SRK surprised audiences saying, ” Not as yet, but I am working on it. I am just hoping for that one 1000 crore film to come my way. As soon as I get it, the first thing I am buying is a private jet and am going to watch the film there. No Tattoo. No Private Jet. Am such a loser.”
Haven’t we all wanted SRK’s mobile number? Well, that wait is over when google asked him for it. And he didn’t shy away either. The actor also revealed his mobile number. Yes, he did! Are you ready to dial? So here it is – SRK said: “It is 5559960321. Call anytime post midnight. I will pick it up. Otherwise, leave a message and I will answer you back with an emoji.”
Known to be amongst the wittiest in the industry, the Badshah of Bollywood never skips an opportunity to poke in some sarcasm. Google asked him what is Shah Rukh Khan’s real name and this is what he said: “This is it. Sorry if you are disappointed. I don’t have a screen name. There was a time when my grandmom wanted to name me Abdul Rahman but my father persisted and am Shah Rukh Khan. I have been called lots of name on the internet……but let’s not go there”.
So, is Shah Rukh really the richest movie star in the world? Apparently not, though he wants to be. “The second last one I heard, but not the richest. I wish I was. I am quite a capitalist material kind of guy like that. I like good things in life but no I don’t think I am the richest actor in the world”.
Does anyone really need to know why SRK is famous? Incidentally, a whole lot of people do have Googled this question. Here’s Shah Rukh’s reply to that: Could be good looks. Sexy. Handsome. Tall. Charming. Sweet. Speaks so well. I have got it all. It would be ironic if I wasn’t famous.”
Remember that song from Josh (2000)…apun bola tu meri laila…it wasn’t a masterpiece but we all hummed this SRK-sung song. But when internet asked him if he can sing, this is what he had to say: Yes, I can but I am saving it for my old age. When all my talents are completely exhausted and still I’m desperate for attention, I’ll do my version of ‘singing in the rain’ and that too bare-bodied. Now, that’s the Shah Rukh we know and love!
