Kareena Kapoor Khan is one actress who couldn’t care less about what people have to say about her. This girl speaks her mind and the word ‘diplomacy’ doesn’t exist in her dictionary. Recently, she gave a befitting reply to the savage Twitterati that had been shaming her for not paying enough attention to her baby, Taimur.
Ever since the birth of her baby boy last December, Kareena has gone back to her pre-pregnancy routine and has made the gym a regular part of her week. But because it’s the Internet, there is no dearth of ranting on how she’s a bad mother for giving her workout priority over her son.
Well, Kareena is not one to take things lying down. At a recent event, during the Q&A session, she was asked whether she felt any pressure to lose the pregnancy weight and return to her earlier size. Shunning body-shamers, she said, “I never felt any pressure. The idea behind me going to the gym or eating right was always just the fact that I wanted to feel good about myself. I want to feel happy, and feel right. It’s not about getting to size zero.”
She then addressed the people who’ve been slamming her for leaving Taimur at home while daring to focus on her own well-being, and savagely shut them down.
“I see so many girls saying, ‘Oh, why does she have to leave her baby and go to the gym?’ I genuinely read these comments and think it’s the most stupid thing ever. I mean, having a child doesn’t mean you can’t feel good and go to the gym for an hour. If your mental health is right, your day automatically goes well. Taimur is happy and everyone is happy,” said the yummy mommy.
On the work front, Kareena is keeping busy with Rhea Kapoor’s Veeray Di Wedding that also stars Sonam Kapoor.
