King Khan under scanner, summoned in Dh42m case

The ‘Badshah’ of Bollywood has been told to be present before the adjudicating authority on August 23 in Mumbai.

All is not well in Shah Rukh Khan‘s paradise. The ED (Enforcement Directorate) has issued notices for adjudication to Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan for the alleged loss of Rs 73.6 crores related to T-20, IPL league, as stated by the officials. This is in connection with a with a FEMA (Foreign Exchange Management Act) case.

The main highlight here; if the accused are proved guilty, they may have to pay three times of the penalty on the actual amount of loss.

Under the scanner are Shahrukh Khan with wife Gauri, Juhi Chawla and Knight Riders Sports Private Limited (KRSPL), the owner of Kolkata Knight Riders.

The case dates back to the 2008-09 edition of IPL when the ED first began investigation against the IPL franchise and its owners.
