From Donut to Nougat, the favourite food items have ruled the world of technology. Who would have thought that after a family of confections, the favourite biscuits will be next in line?
Google has announced the release of next version of Android and it will be called Oreo. The announcement was made at an event in New York and coincided with the US total solar eclipse event. Android 8, the new software, will be coming in smartphones and tablets soon.
The update will be rolled out to Google Pixel, Pixel XL, Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P users first. It promises picture-in-picture mode, autofill, better battery optimisation, improved speed and notifications. Picture-in-picture mode will let users do two tasks simultaneously on any size screen. Google said that Android Oreo boots up twice as fast as Nougat on the company’s Pixel devices.
Google is also working with Essential, Huawei, HTC, Kyocera, Motorola, Nokia, Samsung, Sharp and Sony which will soon be upgraded. Get set and wait for your share of Oreo now.
