Apple and AR Rahman join hands to set-up two music labs in India.
Apple Music will set up two Mac Labs at the A R Rahman-established KM Music Conservatories (KMMC) based in Chennai and the upcoming one in Mumbai.
The amazing part of this set-up is that Apple Music will contribute to fund 10 full-time musical scholarships for students from underprivileged backgrounds to help develop their talent in singing and composing music.
The Mac Labs will teach students how to create music using Logic Pro X, Apple’s professional music creation app for the Mac. Way to go upcoming music artists and writers!
“Music is a healer for today’s world and we share the same affinity and love of music with Apple Music. For over 20 years, I have been a loyal Logic Pro user and I am excited to be together on this journey with Apple,” said the Oscar-winning Rahman.
The KMCC was founded by Rahman in 2008 to expand the experience and knowledge of musicians in India.
Moving ahead to fortify the speciality of Indian music, the organisation also offers an instruction in Western music and music innovation.
As per Eddy Cue, Apple’s senior vice president of Internet software and services, “It’s a respect to be in Mumbai and I am lowered to be within the sight of the skilled A.R. Rahman to make this declaration together.”
What an honour for the country!
