The much-loved Kaun Banega Crorepati 9 has been inspiring the audience with the new segment ‘Nayi Chah Nayi Rah’. As a part of the show, the segment hosts special guests who have excelled in myriad fields in the society.

During the episode of October 13, Sonam Wangchuk, the person behind Aamir Khan’s character in the movie ‘3 Idiots’ graced the show along with one of his students. In the first question of the game he was asked, “ In English, how many ‘A’ occurs while writing between 1 to 100?” He locked ‘zero’ with confidence and his journey in the game began. He ended up winning Rs 50 lakhs. His student was also prompt is answering that Sikkim is the first fully organic state of India. They are also planning to launch a similar project of organic state in Leh-Ladakh.

Sonam is the founder of Students’ Educational and Cultural Movement of Ladakh (SECMOL) which is working to provide a better educational platform for Ladakh’s children. His invention of Ice Stupa in 2013 has earned him laurels across the globe. He gave a detailed explanation of how the stupa is helping the people in Ladakh. He mentioned that each Ice Stupa provides 300 tanks of water. Sonam has mastered 9 different languages and recited Amitabh Bachchan’s famous dialogue from the movie ‘Shahenshah’ in Ladakhi, French and Punjabi.
