Today, would have been her 55th birthday and her family would have showered all their love on her and pampered her like they did every year.

February 24, 2018, however, came with a shock for the entire Bollywood industry when the iconic actress Sridevi departed this world after a sudden heart attack and accidental drowning. She had been in Dubai at that time to celebrate her nephew’s wedding.

When the news came, close friends like Manish Malhotra, Madhuri Dixit, along with the entire Kapoor family wept inconsolably. The first to break the news of her death was the youngest Kapoor brother Sanjay. The entire nation joined united solemnly under the tragedy. Queues formed to bid her adieu as she was cremated at the Ville Parle crematorium in Mumbai.

Fast-forward almost seven months, fans and the industry alike are hit by a bout of nostalgia, fondness, and mourning for the deceased superstar on what would have been her 55th birthday.

Janhvi Kapoor, who says she has a void in her hear ever since her mother suddenly left them, posted a special pic without a caption on Instagram from her childhood with Sridevi and father Boney Kapoor.

Apart from Sridevi’s immediate family, her brother and sister-in-law, Anil Kapoor and Sunita Kapoor miss her the most. In an interview Anil Kapoor had shared how much he and Sunita missed Sridevi, “Sunita and Sridevi had a great bond. She really really misses her a lot. They would often speak to each other. . . We have done some wonderful films together which will remain memorable. We shared a great friendship, she was a part of the family . . . she was a friend also”.
