Sunday was Rakshabandhan and our Bollywood brigade celebrated this special day by showering love on their siblings.
Taimur & Inaaya
The sibling love in the cute photographs of Taimur Ali Khan and Inaaya Naumi Kemmu totally melted our collective hearts. The image of the tiny tots dressed in ethnic wear will probably be the sweetest thing you’ve seen on the internet in a while. While Inaaya wore a lovely pink and yellow salwar kameez, Taimur wore a tiny kurta-pyjama set and Nehru jacket.
Soha & Saif
Not to be outdone, Inaaya’s mother Soha Ali Khan and Taimur’s father Saif Ali Khan also seized the moment to honour their unique bond. Soha wrote on Instagram, “The bond one shares with their brother is unique. Sometimes, he understands you better than you do. When you are lost, he always shines a light in the right direction. He gives you the courage to take on the world. Your relationship is unbreakable, just like a diamond. And today, I’m proud that my brother is mine and we are strong together.”
Arjun & Anshula
The Kapoor siblings are very close, especially since the death of their mother. In an interview, Arjun spoke in detail about his sister, “Anshula has stood by me like a rock. She has gone through far worse. She’s younger than me. I still had 11 years with my father living in the house. I had my mother living with me for 25 years but she only got 20. Imagine a child who has been through a life where the father couldn’t be physically around all the time after the age of five. She’s more mature, very well-educated, honest and more sincere than me.” On Sunday, the prankster Kapoor had a more tongue-in-cheek post to share. Anshula was quick to respond.
I have a parrot on my shoulder & guess what she's confused by !!! My fashion choices…. Ya I’m sorry that yellow Fanny pack is mine & you ain’t getting it no matter how hard you stare !!! @anshulakapoor, happy rakhi to you !!! You're lucky you have such an amazingly warm, genuine, funny cool, sorted & fashion forward brother !!! Ya and you're not a shabby sister yourself too (actually you're the best) !!! #findingfanny literally
Happy Rakhi to this trendsetter with the ugliest fanny pack @arjunkapoor. Even the parrot is questioning your judgement here, but I’m thankful that you’ve upped your fashion game since the 90s 💁🏽♀️. Love you to infinity Bhai, thank you for being the best brother a girl could ever want, you’re one in a zillion & you know it! #The90s #TheGoofballs #JuniorKapoors #MyNumeroUno
Aamir, Nikhat and Farhat Khan
Aamir Khan also took to Twitter to post a simple and heartfelt Rakhi greeting as he and his sisters, Nikhat and Farhat celebrated the festival. What caught our attention was the fact that in a departure from tradition, Aamir also tied Rakhi to his sisters. Maybe he’s trying to make the point that Rakhi protection, once considered only a male prerogative, actually works both ways. The smiles in the photographs are infectious and the siblings obviously had a great day.
Wishing everyone a very Happy Raksha Bandhan.

Suhana Khan and Abram Khan
Shahrukh Khan also tweeted sweet pictures of his children Suhana and Abram to show their strong love. The two have a 13 year age gap between them and as the ever indulgent elder sibling, Suhana often shares goofy vacation photos with him.
Raakhi done…with a promise in the family to respect all women. Respect for women will make u inspired, make u tender hearted & morally strong. Happy Raakhi to all ye bros out there…& respect to all sisters. pic.twitter.com/pSpVSs0ojc

Deepika & Anisha Padukone
It wasn’t only Bollywood’s brother-sister duos that celebrated Rakshabandhan this year, Deepika Padukone also decided to give her own special spin to her sibling love story. Anisha Padukone, who has obviously inherited her father’s sports genes and is making quite a name for herself in golf speaks warmly of their equation. “We have a five-year age gap, so she is both like a friend and a mother to me. She is very protective of me, like a typical big sister.Though we are close, we only get to meet once every two-three months because of our schedules and how much we travel.”
