Steve Jobs, iconic entrepreneur and visionary founder of Apple, was a man much admired by people across the globe. You may or may not reach the tech heights he ruled, but you can now possibly own his car!
Jobs’ BMW Z8 convertible is up for auction! RM Sotheby’s will auction off the car on December 6 at Sotheby’s HQ in Manhattan, NYC. Expected price? In the range of $300,000-400,000.
Of the car, Sotheby’s says: “Widely considered by many to be one of the most attractive, yet innovative cars of the 2000s, it quickly became a bona-fide modern collectable.”
Sales invoices and California car registration with the car prove that Jobs was the first owner. Sotheby’s says the particular car owned by Jobs was produced on April 1, 2000 and delivered on October 6. The car comes with a built-in BMW-branded Motorola flip-phone. Even the phone has some interesting history, as per Sotheby’s, which says: “Interestingly enough, and perhaps unsurprisingly, Jobs was known to have hated the Motorola phone.”
