Whatsapp new calling feature

WhatsApp has come up a surprise for the users. The group calling feature with both voice and video support is finally live and you can now enjoy having a video chat with your group anywhere. The feature is available on both iOS and Android app and supports up to four people.

It is claimed that WhatsApp users spend over 2 billion minutes on calls per day. Though WhatsApp supports video call since 2016, group calling feature is a new thing for the users. Earlier the feature was limited only to two participants. WhatsApp said in a statement that the feature is programmed to work under slow network conditions and all calls are end-to-end encrypted like the chat.

Now users can make group calls through very simple steps. All you have to do is start a video or voice call with one of the contacts and add another participant by pressing a button at the top-right corner of the screen. An Add Person icon seen on the top right, above the name of the recipient, lets you add more participants after the call gets connected with the first person. Make sure you have the latest version of the WhatsApp app in your phone.
