There’s no dearth of glitz and glamour at fashion weeks. And when the occasion is the 10th edition of India Couture Week 2017, organised by the Fashion Design Council of India, expect the celebrations to move up a few notches.
For starters, Anamika Khanna’s offsite installation titled Luxury 2017, at The Kila, Mehrauli and Rohit Bal’s collection Khush Posh, to be presented at the Bikaner House, will open the fashion week – which will be held from July 24 to 30 at the Taj Palace Hotel in New Delhi.
Sunil Sethi, president, FDCI, says, “Anamika Khanna and Rohit Bal have been the epicentre of the fashion world. They will open India Couture Week with their trademark grandeur setting enviable trends for a discerning audience.”
Other participating designers include Tarun Tahiliani, Rahul Mishra, Anju Modi, Gaurav Gupta, Manav Gangwani and Manish Malhotra among others. There are whispers about some celebrity appearances too, but nothing has been confirmed yet. But then again, India Couture Week 2017 ends with Malhotra’s showcase and it’s only fair that we expect some Bollywood presence on the ramp!
